What is a post?

A post allows you to create a card about a certain place. It could be somewhere you love (Recommend) or one where you’ve been wanting to go to (Wishlist). You can choose your own photos, write your thoughts on it and also save them to your Lists! 

How do I create a post?

If you’re using the mobile app:

1. Click the big green “+” button at the bottom of the homepage and select whether you’d like to make a recommendation or a wishlist.
2. Search for the place you want to add in the search tab and tap on it. (Some places have similar names, so you can narrow choices down by including the city in your search.)
3. Add any photos you want, write down your thoughts about this place and click next.
4. Optionally, you can add this post to one of your preexisting lists, create a new one, or if you want to make a standalone post, just hit post! You can also save it as a draft- other Lemi users won’t be able to see drafts until you hit post.

If you’re using the website:

1. Go to your profile page by clicking your username on the top right of our homepage, and from the drop down menu, click View profile.
2. Click on one of your preexisting lists to add a new post or create a new list. (Currently, standalone posts can’t be made on the web, but we’re working on it!)
3. Once you’re in your list’s page, click on the “Add a place” button at the bottom of your screen.
4. Search for the place you want to add in the search tab and tap on it. (Some places have similar names, so you can narrow choices down by including the city in your search.)
5. Click on the place you’d like to add and you’ll be redirected to the list’s page with your new post. Add any photos you want, and write down your thoughts about this place and click post! You can also save it as a draft- other Lemi users won’t be able to see drafts until you hit post.

Can I Edit or Delete a Post?

To edit a post, find the post you want to edit and on the bottom right, click on the “edit” button. When you’re done editing, just hit update to save all your changes. You can also hit “delete” instead of update if you want to get rid of this post entirely.

How do I move a post to a different List?

Go to edit your post and at the bottom, there will be a tab that says “List” and under which List this post is currently saved under. Click on it and choose the List you want this post to appear in.
